In the position of a mechanical engineer, you have a varied job where the customer and service are central. Your activities can be roughly divided into two main tasks, namely “Projects” and “Service and Maintenance”. The project activities relate to new and renovation projects. For example, you will be busy assembling and commissioning hoists, chain hoists and lifting platforms, among other things. The service-related activities consist of maintaining the installations of more than 100 theaters. These theaters regularly work at heights. The work takes place throughout the Netherlands, but we also have projects in Belgium and Germany. In this position, you will be responsible for the engineering of electrical controls within the project office. With your expertise, you are responsible for designing control systems of various grades, i.e. relay-controlled, PLC-controlled to high-end control systems with frequency controls and additional safety software. Your responsibilities also include the electrical work preparation for and transfer to the production and assembly of the control systems.
